Technologies
The packaging materials offered by Euro Styrol Srl are manufactured using advanced technologies that ensure the quality and reliability of the products. The production processes for expanded polystyrene, vacuum-formed products and cardboard bundling materials are described below.
Expanded Polystrene (EPS)
EPS is a lightweight and versatile foam material that is produced by the following steps:
Pre-foaming:
Polystyrene beads are pre-foamed by heat treatment, usually with steam. During this process, the beads increase in volume as the foaming agent in the beads evaporates, and the beads increase in size by a factor of 20-50.Curing:
The pre-foamed beads are rested to stabilise them and equalize the pressure inside them. This step ensures the success of the subsequent moulding process.Shaping:
The stabilised beads are poured into moulds and then treated with steam to fuse the beads together and give them the desired shape. This step allows the production of different packaging shapes, such as protective covers for fragile goods.
No ozone depleting substances are used in the production of EPS, making the product environmentally friendly.
Vacuum-Formed Logistics Products
They offer an excellent solution for the secure packaging of fragile goods. The main steps of production:
Material preparation:
The raw materials are prepared and then heated to the temperature required to achieve the desired properties.Forming:
The material is fed to a vacuum forming machine where the heated material is placed in the mould and vacuum is used to create the desired shape. The vacuum causes the material to precisely fit the mould, providing optimum protection for the packaged products.Refrigeration:
The products are cooled to solidify and retain their shape.Post-processing:
Cooled products are cut to size as required or undergo additional processing steps, such as surface treatment, to enhance their durability and aesthetic appearance.
Vacuum formed products provide excellent protection, easy storage and a sustainable solution.
The production of cardboard boxes:
Selection of raw materials:
We work with quality corrugated board and solid board, often made from recycled raw materials.Forming and die-cutting:
Special processes are used to cut the cardboard sheets to the desired size and shape to fit the product to be packaged.Gluing and assembly:
Cut-to-size cartons are assembled by gluing or mechanical joining to guarantee the stability of the final product.
